Supported Volunteering 26yrs+

We are in our second year of funding of our Supported Volunteering project.

As an organisation committed to volunteering we aim to:

  1. Make Volunteering achievable and accessible to people with disabilities and mental health issues
  2. Provide a six week 'friday group' volunteering placement to develop skills prior to signposting to a new volunteering opportunity
  3. Build the confidence of people with disabilities and mental health issues. To help bridge the gap between volunteering and further training courses and employment
  4. Find new and interesting placements for volunteers and assist organisations with good practice to enable them to accept and support volunteers with disabilities
  5. Enable all our volunteers to gain the benefits of volunteering e.g socialising, confidence boosting, improved skills, health benefits, etc.

So if you, or anyone you know, has a disability, whether physical, learning or mental health, do please contact us about the benefits of volunteering.  Contact Penny and Gail on 01905 24741 or email: penny@wvc.org.uk or gail@wvc.org.uk
