What is volunteering?
Volunteering is about giving some of your time to help others in the community.
Who Volunteers?
Anyone & everyone can volunteer; we all have something to offer. So whether you’re male or female, 13 or 83, in work or unemployed, whatever your situation you’ll be welcomed.
How much time must I give?
You can give as much or as little as you like – it can be for 2 hours per month or 40 hours per week – the choice is yours.
What will it cost me?
We aim to ensure that all voluntary organisations make provisions to cover the out of pocket expenses of their volunteers - & this will not affect any benefits you may be receiving.
What are the benefits to me?
Develop new skills, feel valued, meet new people, improve your existing skills - to name just a few!!!!
